Confused I am working on issue 106 including the sails.
Page 12 step 14 says "seal and trim all the deadeye lashings on the fore mast chainwale". However there are still 2 double blocks between deadeyes 8 & 11 that have not been used.
Have I missed something, or are they not meant to be used ?

Hi

I've not reached this yet and Im also doing the bare spars version but it seems to me that the guide is only telling you to seal the deadeyes, the blocks behind them may well be used later. Im not currenly able to look at my mags but will take a better later today and get back to you

if you are doing the non-sail version, then there will be a lot of blocks not used,if doing the sail version you will find most but not all blocks are used. but read very carefully at the rigging part,as it is easy to miss parts of the rigging,as many sentences look the same. BigGrin

Hi arch,

After taking a good look at the mag instructions it does look like these are not used and you certainly haven't missed a step as they are pictured unused in the next issue after the fore topgallant is fitted.

Hi Steve

Thanks for confirming that I have not missed anything. After trimming the lashings she is looking a lot neater.
