Just be mindful that there is an end to end slight deck camber, i.e. the decks don't run flat end to end.

Maybe an idea to fit them as you are fitting the higher deck to allow for camber and height difference in the dowels????Confused BigGrin Cool

I fitted mine after the strips had been fitted, as it came as an after-thought! Blink
All I did was make them just the right size to slot under, and watched very carefully in case they were too big and pushed the strips up and thus bowed them. Ultimately they serve the purpose of providing a support for when the middle deck is pushed down onto them.
