Been to see the ships at Hartlepool today, I'm at work during the week so will probably miss them leaving port, (unless some are leaving in the evening in which case I'll nip down after work). To Mike Turpin & Dave Gray might see you then if your still there! Instead of posting pic's I'll try to set up a link to my album in 'Photobucket' http://s776.photobucket.com/albums/yy42/jeffaverre/

Hi Jeff
One of the advantages of being self-employed is that I have awarded myself a day off for undetected crimes!
According to the Tall Ships website, they have a 2 hour window of opportunity to make sail 'around lunchtime'. I am assuming therefore that barring accidents they will all have left by mid afternoon. I'm planning on a train back about 18:00 hours and I believe David who has much further to travel is planning a similar timing. Looks as if we will pass as ships in the night!
Perhaps if you plan another trip sometime I could pop up from Leeds to meet you and we could take another look at Trincomalee?
BTW Pictures look interesting hope to have a closer look before tomorrow.
Regards
Mike T
