Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Nick, and I'm from Baltimore, Maryland (USA). I've been building models since the age of 5 or 6 when I found a Monogram '57 Chevy in my uncles basement. I remenber sleeping with it on my headboard the night I finished it! BigGrin In the last 25+ years, I must've completed hundreds of model cars. Lately I've shifted my focus to larger scale models, mostly 1/12 Tamiya stuff, so I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to purchase my 1st 1/8 scale kit. I've been enjoying following everyone's builds, and can't wait until I can add my own. I've got my 1st pack of parts, but have been waiting for the 2nd set to start assembly. Here's a shot of my 1/12 collection until I post my build thread:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
Here are a few pics of my last 1/12 scale build. It's the Ferrari 312T as raced in the first few races of the 1976 season. Pretty much box stock (with photoetch) plus machined aluminum intake trumpets. It's hard to see in the photos, but I used a model railroad diorama product called "realistic water" for the gauge faces, and the steering wheel emblem.

Hi Nick

Just come across your post and must say that is a very impressive collection of very well executed builds.

I am always so impressed with what I call "clean builds". You really have to know your stuff to get the good finishes on pristine paint finishes such as these.

That display cabinet you have there is also really good. Is it something you made or had made for these particular models?

Happy modelling

Tony
