In Pack 01 on page 23 of the instruction book it listed three types of adhesive that were required to make the model, with an explanation of what each did. I duly went off and bought some of each.

But when I come to make the model I find that the instructions don't seem to specify which sort of adhesive to use in which stage. For example, I'm currently assembling the rear wing, and the term that seems to be used all the time is just 'apply plastic adhesive to'. How confusing is that?

Would it not be more helpful if the terms 'apply ABS glue to', 'apply polystyrene glue to' or 'apply superglue to' were used instead as appropriate?

It's not just me being especially dumb, is it?

(And incidentally, when fixing the main rear wing onto the end-plates, should the black paint not be removed from the end-plates where the wing is fixed to them? The instructions don't say that it should, but surely if it isn't removed one is gluing to a painted surface...)

Yeah... it was the reading ahead bit that led me to ask the question [about scraping paint off] really.

In the end I went ahead and assembled before I saw your reply, but I did in fact scrape some paint off between the two large locating pins. It seemed safe enough to me as long as I didn't make the scrape wider than the width of those pins. Worked perfick.
