Thanks and best regards. Mark Hi Mark, there is a fantastic amount of ornamentation on this build so applying gold leaf would probably work but think it would be a long process to cover everything needed... However, I would be tempted to order a back issue with some of the ornamentation in it and use that the test out whether it would work or not.... Hope this helps.. Regards Alan

I hope you dont mind Alan. Thanks again and best regards. Mark Hi Mark, of course I don't mind. The sharing of tips and info is all part of this great forum so you go ahead.... A word on the paint, it's not the easiest paint to work with but stir thoroughly and for best results apply with a small fine brush in very thin layers to build up the metallic look... I found in some places I applied 4 thin coats.. When done, apply a clear coat gloss varnish for protection.... Any queries then get back to me.. Regards Alan

Just to jump in I am using Tamyia X-12. Mainly because my local model shop always has loads in and it covers both wood and metal parts very well. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
Built: Golden Star, English Brig. RMS Titanic. (Academy 1/400 Centenary Anniversary Edition) Revell-Monogram 1/48 B-29 Superfortress 1:8 Baron von Richthofen's Fokker Tri-plane. HMS Victory. Nelsons Flag Ship. Sultan Arab Dhow. Artesania Latina Carmen II. The Battleship Yamato. Model Airways Wright Flyer 1:16 Scale. Trumpeter Bismarck 1/200. HMS Sovereign of the Seas. The Black Pearl.
Building:HMS Surprisel. Hatchette U96. Soleil Royal.
