I have used the Tamiya TS range of paint on my hummer (Semi Gloss Black) Page 250 suggests we protect the paint with a clear lacquer Can any of you experts advise me which would be suitable for the paint I have used.   Current Build:-

If you choose to use the Tamiya TS-13 clear aerosol, be aware that it can cause paint craze and destroy waterslide decals. Safer to apply it at least 30 days after the colour coat, though always best to test on a hidden area such as in the roof underside.
The safest route is to use a waterbased clearcoat, such as Mr Hobby B501, or put Tamiya X-22 clear through an airbrush, as the solvents in some clearcoat aerosols can cause paint craze and also destroy decals.

Humbrol varnish is my tried and tested choice. I have used it over Tamiya and Humbrol spray paints with no issues. I also use it after airbrushing Tamiya, LifeColor and Humbrol paints just fine. Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Thanks for that been trying to source "Mr Hobby B501" but its not been easy Have got some Humbrol Gloss varnish already so will give that a try :-) :-) Current Build:-
