Hi all, I have received word that for now, the copper tiles WILL NOT be available in the US. DeAgostini is working on trying to get them, but it will be a while. I strongly encouraged them to get some in. The coppering make a great model look fantastic! Paints: ModelExpo has a paint set for the Victory. As of tonight, 7/22/2014, they are out of stock, but they are generally right on with their availability dates. I'll add more "stuff" as it occurs to me, or as the need arises. Tired, Old, and Cranky!

There are alternatives, such as self-adhesive copper tape, which is also far easier and quicker to apply

Thanks for looking into this Mark. Thanks for the link on the copper tape Mr T. I did purchase the paint set from Model Expo. I even found a code to get the paint at 1/2 off. Incase anyone is interested, the code is whlist. It's good thru July on all supplies. Maybe of interest ( or possible not ) but I have a Mamoli kit of the CSS Alabama and for their attempt at a copper hull they supply "tiles" cut from 0.5 mm green dyed wood strip. The idea I guess is that when complete you end up with a finish that looks similar to patina on copper (or is that verdigris) With so many options thought it maybe worth a mention. Thanks for the lead on the paint. They also have a pin pusher. My subscription didn't come with that tool.
