 OK, even we good modelers make mistakes.  I thought I'd start this topic to save others from making the same mistakes I make and how to cover them up with the Senna build. My expert master carpenter Uncle David, always told me, "A great carpenter can always hide his mistakes". And he showed me his mistakes and how he covered them up. The next 3 pictures will show you the mistake I made when assembling the rear wing 2 main pieces. The instructions don't say it but I would scrape away some of the red paint on the upper part that mates with the dark part. I thought I was careful with the glue lines trying to keep them as small as possible. The left side shows I was wrong. Be careful when laying down your glue lines. The first picture shows some glue seepage on the left side. It seeped out and I thought I could wipe it away. WRONG! The part on the right didn't have any seepage. I decided that I could maybe solve 2 problems at once. I puttyed up the seam and will sand it down and paint the matching black. Fix my seepage problem and erasing the joint line at one time. And I always say, "Yes, you can teach this old dog new tricks". I'm open to any suggestions any of you have with problems and how you solved them. Dave davidyat attached the following image(s):

Got my problem fixed. It took a while but I'm satisfied with the results. From the first pictures, it took a while to sand, paint, sand, paint, sand and paint to get rid of the joint line. Then it was down to mixing gloss, flat black paint and thinner til I could match the semi-gloss and shoot it with my Pasche airbrush. I had gotten a big bag of hypodermic syringes and used them to keep my mixture consistent. You can pull out the plunger, fill up the tube to a known volume of paint, squirt it into your mixing bottle and spray to see what you get. I used Testor's gloss and flat black in a mixture of one part gloss, one part flat and 2 parts thinner to shoot the end result you see in these pictures. davidyat attached the following image(s):
