BigGrin Hi All
Just a short review of this resin and white metal kit Kindly donated by a good friend who knew i was building the Zero and that i had the 1/16 Tamiya Japanese pilot kit.
You may wonder at this guys facial expresion and I have had a good few unprintable reply's but i think i have sussed this guy out, in his right hand he is holding a sake cup and i dont think he is a fan of sake.
Although this resin figure is now out of production there are still a few about on various online model shops that deal in busts/figurines expect to pay around £28-30.

What you get,
The figure is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box with the resin and white metal parts wrapped in bubble wrap and a small instruction booklet.
The seven resin parts are very well detailed and in parts highly detailed as you would expect from a resin kit, there was the minimum of mould sprue the most being around the boots but i have already removed the sprue before taking these pictures.
The three white metal parts comprise of the hands and service pistol again nicely moulded.
Lastly a three picture instruction/painting leaflet is supplied.
all in all an impresive little figurine that i will be building
Regards

Looking forward to seeing this one painted up. It looks a very cleanly moulded kit.

Happy modelling

Hi Andy, BigGrin BigGrin

He`s cool, (just maybe a bit too much saki by the grin)

LOL LOL LOL

Today I received my "Trumpeter" display turntable for my zero pilot figure and had a very nice surprise!!

It`s taller than the advertised height, which would have given about 6-10mm head clearance, but, the advert figures are wrong.

This is the link:

Display Dome

The advert says the dome is, I think 116mm, but is in fact 153mm.

This is the measurement from the display base surface to inside of the dome top.

If you want one, the model number is #09833

It gives my little fellow (same scale) approx 30mm head clearance, so gives space for a small decorative plinth if required Cool

Hope this helps, as a suggestion of what`s available.

Bring on the build he looks fab.Love

Regards
