Hi Everyone,

In between building the SOS, I am busy with another plastic kit. I want to use the hairspray method of weathering. My question is:
I have used an enamel base coat before spraying with hairspray, can I use enamel for the top coat or must I use acrylic ?Confused
Regards
Steve

You will need to use acrylic as a top coat so that the hairspray can be removed to leave the weather effect. Enamel will not wash away.

Here is a series of 3 youtube videos showing in really good detail how to do hairspray and salt weathering.

The voiceover is very amusing. The poor lady sounds like she had a hairball. There are three videos total and it is the best description of the weathering technique I have found.
