Hi Nemesis, PLEASE tell me the squares of that cutting mat are 1cm and not 1". That does look a peach of a build though. Now, yesterday I said I`d disclose my latest purchase. A big hint was given, ref Steve`s addition to this thread. So here it is: Yep, it`s the Deag RC Spitfire. A tremendous ebay purchase: Complete kit Un-started Nothing broken All extras All magazines in folders: Sticky bits 200 mile round trip to collect Other media on VHS tape Cure for the sticky bits: 200 miles - worth it VHS tape - available on ebay on CD for £20 So overall, just got to hope I can do this icon the justice it deserves. Oh, missed out the best bit. PRICE: £122 Happy Building Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Wow, That is a fantastic purchase. I am currently bidding on this, its not quite the fantastic deal you have achieved but still a fantastic deal nonetheless I did offer them the starting bid and I would go and pick it up on Friday paying in cash to save them the fees but as others are watching it they are going to let the auction run Oh well, when it ends I will have to pay the extra for it to be delivered and they will have the paypal and ebay fees to pay as I will not be in a position to collect. Still hope I get it though

Del Hope you have a great time with this one. Not wanting to dampen your enthusiasm but one real big recommendation I would respectfully suggest is that if you have never flown before get yourself along to a model flying club. Couple of reasons with the main one being these things in the wrongs hands can be lethal and secondly most flying clubs have an insurance should the worst ever happen and you "destroy someone's greenhouse" for example. Nearly decapitated myself a good few years ago with an rc helicopter and it's terrified the heck out of me ever since. That said however if you have the luxury of quite wide open spaces in your neck of the woods maybe not such an issue. Hope you get lots of fun from this one when you get chance to build it - a bargain purchase you had there. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling

This kit comes in only 60 parts, so the basic construction is therefore in small sections. So if you hit a block on something else, this will fill the gaps. Good news is that the man cave is coming on leaps and bounds, so just need the window/heating engineers to get their backsides into gear and normality will be resumed. Thanks for looking in. Tony Hi Tony, Many, many thanks for the advise. and advise that anyone getting into RC flying should take on board. I had thought about this before purchase, (thank goodness) and have sourced an RC club within a mile of where I live, so hopefully all will turn out Ok when the time occurs. Once again many thanks for the advise and for looking in. Happy Building Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Did it also include the engine?
You'll also need to invest in a high wing trainer and progress onto a low wing before attempting to fly your Spit, as an RC Spit is a 3rd or 4th model

Del Wishing my camera was working and I could post a picture of the miniart Red Baron kit - as it would go on to say "guess what I just purchased". Many thanks for your links as I managed to purchase that build the red barons triplane from eBay you listed. Seller is fairly close in Newbury and was ok for me to collect but as I do not drive it's got to be the rather expensive £30 postage (Royal Mail 2nd class). Have asked for bomb proof packing so on tenterhooks now Like so many of us it goes in the pile of waiting builds. One day I may find the time but looking the other day at my pension sheet I have to work until 67 and only 51 now. I get paid to do a 7:12 hour day with overtime as flex but only 2 days every 4 weeks allowed. Today have done a 12 hour day with a booked 30 minute lunch break that I worked through. Will need a massive coffin when I do go and a stack of glue so I can take all my kits with me. Glad to see you have a flying club because that will give you another brilliant hobby. Thanks again for the links Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling
