Issue 100 well underway and found this issue giving me problems... More bling has been painted as previously described and fitted, no real problems here. The amount of bling now added is really starting to show now but lots more to add yet....Cool Cool

Started pinning the deadeye chains on the chainwales in place, here is where I found things to be a little tricky... The instructions say to pin the chains in place using the pins provided. Problem here I found is the chain links are too small for the pins, meaning when pinning to the hull the chain link would open and the chain would separate.... Solution I found was to cut the chain to length first then pin to the hull, the last link only has one other link attached to it resulting in a bigger hole for the pin to go through.... Any chains I cut too short was simply rectified by adding another link, fiddly yes but at least it worked... Will continue fitting the chains tomorrow and will post again when I have completed the port side...Cool Cool Happy building all..

Regards

Alan

Thanks Steve, appreciated.... Still 34 weeks to go and to be honest, think I'll be a little sad when she is finished as I've loved working on her.... Still, it does mean I can move onto a new project but as yet that is undecided..... Any ideas.....Laugh Laugh

Thanks for your kind words Dave.. Really not sure what to do next, the Titanic will remain a secondary build and since the SOTS is a sail ship am kind of thinking of doing either the Yam or the Hood... Still, got plenty of time to decide yet.... Cool Cool. May even poll members to see what they would like to see....Blink Blink
