Oh no! Was just going to start gluing mine as I have now secured the first 4 decking pieces. Should I be waiting then as I was following the magazine instructions but do appreciate these can sometimes be out of step. Hope you can advise. Kind regards AJB

Kind regards AJB Once I had made sure everything was square and the 4 deck pieces were pinned, I turned the hull over, leaving the jig in place for the added weight to keep things square, then mixed up a 70/30 solution of PVA and brushed it in all the seams as per the magazine. Only thing was it needs longer then a day to dry properly........more like two .But once it was dry, the strenghth in the frame is suprising. Also when i fitted the gundeck support beabs I used the solution again to fill the cuts whick allow the sopports to bend and also aroud the edge where the supports touch the deck. Its that strong now I reckon It could take a broadside from the real ship!!!!!

I agree, it is stronger now lol, but I dont think mine could take a beating off the wife, so I'm still treading carefully. Besides, I though after the decks were in place we should glue the ribs with diluted PVA, or was I tripping on too much caffeine? lol Ship Builds on the go
