Welcome to the forum and to a fun build. Just make sure you do a lot of research before you do anything and you'll get a much better result. There's an awful lot of great information out there on this ship. good Luck

Thank you for the welcoming note. This is my first wooden model. And so far it has been very enjoyable. I’m sure problems are bound to happen. Issue 3 arrived this weekend. The nailing pins are missing. I’ve had to improvise and go out and buy some. Weather wasn’t the greatest which gave me time to concentrate in getting the third issue started. I used a graphite pencil to caulk each plank. Sanded the deck next weekend I’ll be varnishing the deck. Not too sure if that is the right thing to do? Last night I decided to start the paint work on the ship. This is just the first coat. This coming weekend I’m hoping to spend a few hours on the paint work. Carlos The Jackal attached the following image(s):

Your making great progress on her. She is a fine ship to build and your doing an awesome job of replicating her. Look forward to more pics. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Back on the job again. I've made some progress in the last few days. The cannons have been a little challenging. I’m very happy the way it’s turned out. Now going to start the next 12 cannons. This is going to take a little longer. Carlos The Jackal attached the following image(s):
