Well I had a few hours spare this afternoon, so I spent them modifying and fitting the correct sized idlers and sprockets for the timeline of the Tiger. They are Schumo replacements, and are cast very well with lots of detail. They are only a test fit for now.

Looking good Nem I was looking at the Hobbyboss kit but with all the inaccuracies that it has I might give it a miss.. Not sure what the Trumpy version is like though... Very nice build though mate and look forward to seeing this come together Spencer

Hi Warthog, thanks for the comments. The HobbyBoss kit is terrible and I wont buy it. The trumpeter 1:16 Kingtiger is fantastic, I have that one, although there are a few issues, but after market parts soon sort it out!!

Made up a set of the tracks, and I am a happy bunny!! The idlers and sprockets are perfectly aligned and the sag is spot on!!! Still some work to do on the tracks, the paint needs stripping off as its nasty, and there are some casting marks that need sanding off!! :D :D :D

Sprockets and idlers painted and fitted, sag on the tracks adjusted. I stripped the original paint off the tracks and they look good so I will seal and weather them as they are.

Nice work, this makes me want to get my kit back out and finish it. I finished the exterior of the tank minus the little details (tools, cables etc), and still have to do the interior. It certainly is a great kit! Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

You should finish it Kenjara, be great to see another build here.

I have started the detailing on the sides of the hull and the wheels.

As you know I have been correcting this as I go and the next issue was the tracks. The issue was with the guide horns, they are too tall, rounded at the top and no slots, so I replaced them with a decent aftermarket set. Compared to the kit ones!!

Loaders hatch is done and ready for paint, was a fiddly beggar!! Turret basket components done, just need painting. This is how much I have completed.............. ............and whats left in the box!!!

Daren A very good decision to replace those tracks as the solid guide horn versions supplied really did not look right. Replacements look a million times better. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling

Can I ask where you purchased the guide horns from, they look so much better
