BRASS BURNISHING FLUID?

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STUFF
AS IVE NEVER USED IT BEFORE ,
THE ADDS MENTION SOMETHING CALLED PHOTOTECK
SO IS IT ASIDIC
EBAY WANT £14 FOR A 100ML BOTTLE SO HOW MUCH IS
NEEDED FOR MY BUILD
MY LOCAL MODEL SHOP DONT SUPPLY IT ANY MORE AND
COULDNT HELP .IS THERE A SUBSTITUTE?

Good day to you.

There are a number of manufacturers producing what I guess is a brass blackening agent I believe you are talking about.

I have tried a few but have found best results with one called "blacken it".

I purchased my bottle via a model shop on eBay.Its still listed against the following eBay item number

400740997999

However depending on how you are looking to finish your SofS build not really sure you would need this. Most of the castings are painted gold and the canons get painted as well.

Should you still be tempted then a bottle as above will last a long time as you use the product like a "sheep dip" (however do not use this on sheep LOL ). These are chemical solution so need to be handled and stored with care.
