In the aftermath of the downing of flight MH17, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have launched two projects.

The projects are aimed at improving the passing of information on conflict zones by upgrading the Notice to Airman system, (NOTAM).

The link below describes in more detail and explains some of the latest findings in the loss of MH17.

Lets hope these improvements stop anything like the loss of MH17 from ever happening again. Only time will tell.
