Yes I did Karl but I'm a novice shipbuilder and didnt fully understand wot I was reading in relation to the actual ship and I thought I had messed up in some way becos of the curve. But that is beside the point, I thought this forum was the place for novice builders to ask their maybe daft and obvious questions to get hopfully helpful advice from more experienced builders without ridicule.

Hi Mac and viperek! BigGrin

The forum is the place for all novice and advanced builders to ask their maybe daft and obvious questions. The magazines are not always clear as to the steps you need to take, also lots of mistakes have been left in to mix things up. Have you looked at the Where the parts fit section in issue 15, page 9. The rib number 30 fits in the place rib 23 fits, part 32 fits next to mast support and best of all the tarnsom parts 34 fit next to the forward bulkhead part 12(that's the bow). Woot Laugh

So ask away! lets help each other to made this kit a victory we all be proud of. Laugh

Once again i totaly agree with Lonestar...we are all in this together...and the instructions can be ...not too clear ....thats why i come on here to see what is what in the victory builds....and remember we are paying over 700 quid for this model...so there is no such thing as a daft question ....just expensive mistakes BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

When I was in the pusser they always said 'The only daft question was the one you didn't ask!' Well done, I'm a bit behind with my build but keep the questions coming, personally I find it very useful. It's easy to miss a subtle observation in the instructions and by this forum, hopefully, we steer a straight course. Good Luck with the build.
