Colin
Hope all is well with your.
With all builds much of the end result is all dependant on what the actual modeller wants to achieve. Many kits have their positive and negative sides.
My biggest recommendation is that before you consider spending a fortune on after market parts (don't get me wrong they really can make a difference) is do a little research.
I am a big fan of the internet and will often look up kits I am interested in buying to get other peoples views.
Here is a link to someone else build so have a look and see what if any issues they are having -,it may help you decide what to invest in and if your really need to spend.

I have usually found that with most military vehicles the main thing to look at is the tracks - for instance some vehicles that should have perforated guide horns will see the kit supply these as solid infilled parts.
Hope you have some great fun with your build
Happy Modelling
