Looks very nice Mike! I love the progress and the attention to detail. I was leaning towards a natural finish with mine, But the wife thinks painted would look much nicer. Still haven't decided, but I still have time as I'm waiting on my first issue still. I'm going to be taking a trip to Portsmouth to see the real thing sometime this summer to get some finishing inspiration.

Lovely work Mike, if the Vic build follows with this quality then you are going to have a special build here. Steve

Thanks for all the comments guys, am really enjoying this build. Right, layers 4, 5 and 6 are done, gun ports on the lower gun deck completed and the area around the gallery support is now nice and flush and sanded. As you can see, I have gone for the cutaway option (I paint table top miniatures in my other hobby and couldn't resist having a load of crew loading up the cannons on display). On to layer 7, 8 and 9! cruorangelussilicis attached the following image(s):

Hi Mike, Planking looks great - nice and neat. We'll done. It's so important to start the planking off well, everything will be so much easier as you get further on down the hull. Looking forward to see your progress. Kind regards, Garth "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.
