Thanks Steve, never a truer word said...Cool Cool Build until now has been mainly straight forward but now the fiddly and intricate work is underway and I'm finding it quite taxing but very enjoyable..... Feel like this is where I make or break with the build but one thing is for sure, it isn't going to be rushed.... Everything crossed it will all work out in the end....Cool Cool

Regards

Alan

Finally finished fitting and rigging the cannons on the main deck... Fiddly job but worth the effort.... Care needs to be taken drilling into the bulwarks in this area, it is so easy to drill through to the other side... Can only drill to a depth of 1mm..Blink Blink .. Also made up and fitted the bilge pumps....Cool Cool .. Now onto issue 107, the making up of two anchors..... Cool Cool .. Happy building all...

Regards

Alan

BigGrin Hi Alan

Nice work as usual, a little tip for the drilling, try wraping a piece of tape around the drill just leaving the depth you need to drill this work's for me.

Thanks for the tip Andy, will try that next time... I tied a piece of white cotton around the drill and used that as my marker but did find the cotton difficult to see in the more confined area's.... Think next time I will drill into the bulwarks and fit the eyelets before fitting the cannons and fitting hooks onto the rigging blocks rather than a ring.. Think it would be a lot easier this way..... Cool Cool . Thanks again for looking in and commenting, appreciated....

Regards

Alan

Alan

A really lovely build you have yourself there.

That occre cradle unit looks an interesting and useful piece of kit. When I saw these on cmb website was tempted especially on the price which seemed very reasonable compared to buying the wood yourself.

Happy Modelling

Thanks Tony, your comments are very much appreciated..... Cool Cool .. The Occre build station I would completely recommend without reservation.... Keeps your immediate tools and items at hand, has lots of storage and the cradle keeps the model secure while working on it.... Cool Cool .. Worth every penny......Cool Cool
