Hello you lot
Im at a quandary here! Ive cut all the chains from this mag. and I think I need my eyes tested
Some of the 25mm lengths (169a) turned out to be one link longer than the rest so checked the pic. in the mag. and saw 14 links for this chain so I trimmed these down so they are all the same.
So now Ive gone back to the mag. pic. And see the 32mm chain(169b) has 18 links long checked mine and again found discrepancies here (one too many)Now, gone to Tomicks build diary to see what he says cause Im sure I got the measurments right. And see 19 links My question I, which is correct, Does it matter or do I need new glasses?
Regards JethroConfused

The link number may slightly vary due to tolerance difference in chain manufacture

Hi Jethro, I just cut my chains as close to the specified length as possible and it all worked out just fine although I did find there was just enough chain to do the job..

Hi Jethro, don't think you have anything to be worried about... As long as you have enough chains cut to the right lengths then that is all that matters. You may have received a longer chain than I did.... Same will go for the wire for the deadeyes, I again just had enough..

Regards

Alan
