Go for it Colin if you want. I think I will be satisfied with the best 'conventional' build I can manage.
I don't anticipate too many people ever wanting to peer into my model to that extent. If I can get a semi-museum quality job done then I will be looking for the next challenge.

Colin, are they photographic images pasted on to give depth etc, cos if so, that's a heck of an effect! Nice find mate. Ship Builds on the go

It looks good but I wont be doing this, id rather make a quality model then start risking cutting the ship away just to see the cabin, as for the pictures and lights, as far as I can make out in his log he used images and printed out on the laser printer and folded and glued 'em, works quite well me thinks, the lights are good but way beyond me.

Wow!! That's fantastic. I do like the idea of led lights in the gun cabins. May have to brush up on my GSCE electronics... lol.

Colin once again you amaze me with your finds. LED isn't that difficult to do just expensive and you need to hide the wires coming out of the model to a power supply. For the very experienced you can even place them into the cannons to portray muzzle flashes. leds are EXRETEMLY easy. you just need some wire, a few leds and a resistor and a battery.
anyway i wouldnt have used those leds, they look like 5mm ones and i would have used 3mm as they look way to big for the model.
i think as well as the images glue on he added a few extras like the rope looks real and so does 2 bits of the cannon. all round a very nice effect.
for those of you waitin until you have most of he issues you might want to consider this little aspect, how much room is around the cannon muzzle and the gun holes? for anyone else is it worth it to your pleasures?
i might consider this as electronics are my key thing lol
