As much as I love Top Gear I can't help but think Clarkson and the production team have made a serious error of judgement here. I cannot believe when they purchased the vehicles for the show they didn't recognise the link between one of the numberplates and the Falklands conflict. It looks to me as if it was chosen to be provocative and to cause controvesy which it did, so it shouldn't be a surprise to the team to see the reaction they got when driving through the country.... Can't have a lot of sympathy for them on this one and with Clarksons record it may just be the last straw for him with the BBC....

Regards

Alan

I'm afraid this program is now past its sell by date and should end. It's obvious to anyone that they have run out of ideas. The same format is constantly being rehashed again and again.

But the biggest reason for it to close is this:

This program was originally conceived to showcase cars and other vehicles etc. It now has been completely overshadowed and subverted by the three presenters and their competing egos. The program has now become more about them, than the original subject matter it was designed to showcase.

Hi All, BigGrin BigGrin

A coincidence to far,if you ask me. Confused

Another publicity stunt?

Almost certainly. Glare

If that`s what they need to get viewers, then my view is:

"PULL THE DARN PLUG NOW"

People on both sides lost friends and family in the conflict.

"Seriously BAD Taste".

Oh dear.

Not a particularly impressive thing to do even if it was intended as some sort of attempt at humour.

As much as clarkson gets a kicking I cannot believe the fault is all of his own making. Do they not have production people that would say what can and cannot be done.

Happy Modelling
