Hi All! I have entered next step of the Akagi building. I have to prepare some gimmicks for this model. The aircraft was enhanced. The smallest electric motor that I could get was installed in a 1/144 model of Nakajima B5N (Kate). Electric power is supplied through the legs of the model. Putting the model on the aluminium electrode starts the propeller rotating. I have also started making the lift. The structure is the same as 1/250 model's lift that I built before. I put a You Tube movie of my trial manufacture of the lift. Caution! Down the sound level of your PC before click! http://youtu.be/cuv6KaAoYbo

Hi All! I attached some additonal photos of my Akagi. The model of the lift had some problems, and I had to solve them. During the process, some prototypes were destroied. Finally I have made the lift model almost satisfyingly. This is just a prototype. I'll make a practical one. http://youtu.be/3iFcvNXv4ko
I tried using the flight deck panel with the lift. http://youtu.be/A9mboqbwdic
I installed the small electric motor in 1/144 Mitsubishi Zero. It's propeller will be rotated soon. Yutaro Absolutley wonderful. Brings back sone happy memories of when I used to play around with electronics seeing your breadboard setup. Very clever idea with the aircraft propellor and good to see you managed to find a motor small enough. Happy Modelling

Really clever work !! You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Hi All! I attached some progress of my Akagi cut model building. A one bord microcomputer, "Arduino UNO R3" was given to me by my friend the other day. I thought that it could control the lift of the Akagi model. I heard that this computer is well known to train modellers I used it not only elevetor but also propeller of Nakajima 97, Kate. I tried making a simple sequence program for the computer as below: 1) Up the elevetor floor at the top 2) Stop for 2 seconds 3) Rotate propeller for 2 seconds 4) Stop for 2 seconds 5) Down the elevator floor at the bottom 6) Return 1) http://youtu.be/Ug1NoNgdkKY
I do not decide to use it for the Akagi at this time. I guess it is more fun to control the elevetor by my self. Best Regards, Yutaro http://www.youtu.be/Ug1NoNgdkKYYutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Andy! I'm sorry to be late replying to you. Thank you for a comment on my post. I'm still alive. Now I'm so busy that I can hardly have time for building models. Hi All! I attached some photos of small progress of the Akagi's model. I have started building the hull. There used to be truss structures at the bottom of the hull. Now I try to build them on my model. Best Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI.
