I will be using metal gunports and want to order them early. can anyone advise me on numbers that will be open and closed(i.e. with lids) and open with no lid required. Thank you in advance Current Build SotS

Thank you in advance Hi Joe, in answer to your question I can tell you what I see on my build.. There are 27 open gun ports on each side of the ship giving a total of 54 all with lids. There are 6 closed gun ports, 1 either side at the stern (last one on the bottom deck) and 4 under the transom. In case you are interested the gun port dimensions are 13mm high by 12 mm wide... You'll need to be careful with the dimensions of your metal frames on some of these ports due to the amount of detail that is fitted around them, you could find the fit being rather tight.... Thank you so much, i appreciate the information. i used metal gun ports on the Victory and had a look at a few leftovers and they seem to be around 12x13 (the tolerance isn't perfect when made i'm sure) and as i cannot bear the thought of lining gun ports i will be using them again. Current Build SotS
