You have many fine ship's so i was wondering if you would consider making an airplane.

Not just any airplane, the wooden wonder of the second world war......The Mosquito.

This all wood plane would be an excellent build and, if im honest, i have a personal reason for this to be available. My grandfather flew them and said they were fast, maneuverable and feared by the Luftwaffe.

WW2 Dacota, the ole DC-'s. An old favourite. I'm doing the Lancaster bomber by Hachett, great yes but would love an old Dak.

All great ideas! I'm afraid the Lancaster has already been done as a Partwork by Hachette and so would be very unlikely to appear again even as a varient, unless of course it was done to the same standard as the current DeAgostini Spitfire Partwork.

As to the Valcan bomber, now you're talking! I would sign up to that in a heartbeat. I also promote the lynx helicopter and a large scale R/C AH-64 Apache Longbow as partworks as well.

I would seriously rate the Apache as a Partwork that would be wonderful.

Image that you constuct the detailed quality airframe, the extreme detailed cockpit with lit instrumentation panel and flashing lights. Construct the radar array and the 30mm cannon and tactical array. The gun mounting mimics the real thing and follows you around. Pinhole video cameras linked record every flight and save moving flight footage on to a camera card, so you can download it to your PC for playback later to experience the thrill of flying the real Apache.

Next you constuct the helicopter engines in stages following the step by step instuctions to put them together, lubricate them and run them in. The model is twin engine; to boost power and also to provide redundency backup in case of a unit failure. Battery backup is another safety feature providing enough power for a controlled decent in the unlikely event of a double flame out.

Next you construct the detailed weapons systems and have choice of different weapons configurations to choose from so you can build it your way.


There is also a choice of different decals from different countries to choose from so you can mimic the Apache air wing from your own country if you wish!

There you go, how does that sound guys?

On reflection I think your right Steve a detailed static model would probably be the way to go, as space considerations do take presidency over detail when talking R/C. But imagine if you could combine the two it would make it truly unique.

What about a Tank?

Could go either way with this, R/C like the Tamiya kits or a large scale fully detailed static kit.

Hachette did the Tiger (very poorly in some areas) so what about a Sherman?

I know Trumpeter offer some nice scale plastic kits with great interior detail, so maybe the way to go would be R/C?

Tamiya R/C kits are in the region of £600-£700 upwards, spread that out over a few of years & it's not so bad.

A nice 1/16 or 1/24 R/C Sherman would be on my wish list.
