Hi sorry bit late joining forum but not had the means to do so .thought id add some pics of my victory so far, im presently working in the early 80, s on issue numbers i intend to do a pic diary from here to completion . Cheers mick.

Some very nice work there Mick, I'll be looking in on this one from now on, plan to get back to my Vic soon, up to 106 now so nearly there BigGrin

Hi just to let you know this is my first build of plank on frame, have been wantin to have a go at one for last 20 years just never had the confidence , till seen this one . Particularly the step by step intructions. Yes i have made few mistakes , but worked round them. The stern decoration has all been painted off model . And glue them on after . The central strips with thin yellow edges were painted full length strips . Using tamiya maskin tape . Then cut to length to fit all other strips were painted off model free hand. Anyway all enjoy your builds , and go at your own pace.took me 2 years to get this far. I enjoy my time on her very much. Cheers mick.

hi still messing with pc to see can resize pics. added the castings to the stearn,top 3 are close fit glad i checked id trimmed window frames at sides enough to make sure they fitted.before i added the 1.5sq down the sides cheers mick.

Very nice work Mick, I found those castings a bit of a tight fit too because I customized the borders on the gallery, I had to shave a bit of width off each casting to squeeze them in BigGrin

hi managed to finish quarter gallerys.today .and add the gun port lids required,before add chain whales.kinda work all over place why waitin for paint to dry on other items. cheers mick.
