This is Revell's large scale Hawk T1, I wanted to do a build to celebrate their 50th year so this is it, unfortunately I'm unable to find the the "50th season" tail decal in this scale so will have to do without. First thing you notice when you open the box is, it's red and it's big I know red is a nightmare to cover and a pretty horrible choice for a kit but you can obviously see Revell's way of thinking with younger modellers in mind. I am going to model this on the ground with a scale standing pilot next to the plane, the figure is at Hannants and is as near as poss to what I need - https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/MST32028
The canopy will be open and as it's huge I have invested in a couple of etch sets most of which is for the cockpit. It's supposed to go together very well so I'm not expecting any trouble but if anyone has any idea of the best paint colour for this then please let me know, I have seen some build models which look totally the wrong shade of red. Anyway - here's a couple of box shots Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Steve A lovely model and for the size a bargain price. Seems to hark back to the old days of matchbox with revell still producing kits in the primary colour of the finished kit. Guess it's helpful to the "little ones" as they get a nice result without having to paint. A good primer will see you right but working with red plastic is a pain. Hope you get a top result with this one. Happy Modelling

Hi Steve, This looks like it`s gonna be a fab build. The etch looks like it could be fun, (Don`t forget to lock up the "Carpet Etch Gremlin`s" first) As for the pilot figure, "GREAT" Can`t wait to see this come together. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
