Hi Hoping someone can clarify my issue. I have just put togeather issues 72 through 79 and have noticed with the extra weight of the engine front bottom base plate sits on the ground. I have doubble checked the front shock positioning & settings and all are correct and seem to be in spec with instructions, what have I done wrong.

It could be that the screws which hold the two "L" pieces might be too tight.
Remove the front wheels, undo the shocks from one of the ball ends. Then you need to get the front arms to fall under their own weight when you lift them, adjust the screws accordingly.
If that's not the problem it might be a problem with the assembly of the shocks, did you use the kit supplied shock oil?
Also, have you done the ground clearance upgrade

Followed the Instructions to the letter, used the shock oil provided. I will try your suggestion with the "L" pieces
Havn't received the ground clearance upgrade issues as yet just completed last issue #79

Yea just noticed my front end is also very low.
I'd say judging by eye, between 4 & 6mm clearance.
Is it because of the over tightened "L" screws issue or not having installed the ball screw upgrade yet?
Upto issue 83...

Having your L pieces moving freely will make sure the front suspension can do its thing well, so it might not give you any extra ride height. To set your L pieces you'll wanna undo the shocks off the L pieces and take the front wheels off of the hubs. And then you just lift the arms up all the way and you just want to back the screws off a little until the arms fall under their own weight when you let them drop.
I think its probably just the added weight from having put in the engine and all the running gear as well as the radio gear on the car since putting the front end together. I set my front shocks to have an 8.5mm gap between the shock body and the top of the ball ends (which is the only way to adjust the ride height on the front) before I found out that longer ball ends were going to be included in issue 86 (instructions in issue 87). The good news is that the car is pretty much at its running weight now, the running body will add around about 100 grams with paint on it.
