Has anyone decided to go with the cut-away sections on the gun decks? I am looking for ideas on how to present them. I have added some yellow LEDs to illuminate the areas so that onlly the glow can be seen. I am obviously added full cannons to the area but how far forward should they be mounted to be in line with the other dummy cannons? I am trying to complete has much to the area before I start the middle deck sections for accessibility reasons. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

This is the Roof of the first gun deck I have added holes for ladders to go from deck to deck.  You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Looking good, Good work..
I've got a pic on my build of where the canons could be sat if you want to rig them in now. On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Could you post said pic? I am planking the deck next week and then I will be permanently fixing things in place. Ladders are build so ready to go in once decked - plus I have made some crates etc for decoration You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Looks great mate - very good build. I like the way you have moved the cut out to show the mast connections etc. Are you planning on walling the cut out so that the far reaches of the lower deck cannot be seen? I have build a wall between the left and right sides of the ship but I am not happy with the look so I may remove it all together. Have you got a long shot of your cut out so far that you could post? that looks really good.
it also goes to show what people have said about the odd cannon standing out to yet reinforce the plea for having odd ones replaced. but nice work, the led does give it a nice atmosphear, will look awesome when your build is complete.
