Harley-Davidson FLSTF 'Fat Boy'

In the late eighties, Harley-Davidson rather than try to match the Japanese imports, deliberately exploited the "retro" appeal of their machines, building motorcycles that deliberately adopted the look and feel of their earlier machines and the subsequent customizations of owners of that era.
By 1990, with the introduction of the "Fat Boy", Harley once again became the sales leader in the heavyweight (over 750cc) market. At the time of the Fat Boy model introduction, a story rapidly spread that its silver paint and other features were inspired by the World War II American B-29 bomber; and that the Fat Boy name was a combination of the names of the atomic bombs (Fat Man) and (Little Boy) that were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima respectively.

Today, Harley-Davidson is an iconic motorcycle brand, and the 'Fat Boy' a nostalgic sought after collectors item. The Fat Boy also became famous for its starring roll in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, with Arnold Schwarzenegger making the famous Harley jump. Which next to The Great Escape bike jump, is probably the most famous in cinema history.

The T2 fat boy has been acquired for the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, and still shows significant production wear from filming: http://www.harley-davids.../en_US/home/museum.html

The Harley-Davidson 'Fat Boy' model:

Official Harley-Davidson licensed, authentic 1:4 scale replica.

Steel, rubber, leather and chrome. With these four words, Harley-Davidson underlines the quality of its production. A similar quality is achieved in this model, with more than three-quarters of the parts being solid die-cast metal, and all of them reproduced with great accuracy. The materials and colours are as close as is practical in a model to those of the original Fat Boy.

Length: 597mm
Handlebar width: 255mm
Handlebar height: 270mm
