I saw this model advertised on TV on the weekend of the 2012 GP season opener (Australia) and I immediately started collecting. Now, a full three GP seasons later It’s complete !! A great model to build and very well made in general. There’s a couple of minor issues such as colour variation and the fact that the engine cover can only be removed after removal of two screws but in the end I’m pleased with the result. The Modelspace forum has been a fantastic way to get ideas for the little extras like Carbon Decals, Sponsor logos and other details. To get feedback on my build diary has been a great help. Thanks to all who posted. It’s started me on a whole new hobby (building F1 Mclaren models) and that’s been a real bonus. I hope that the 1/8 Senna MP4/4 reaches South Africa in the near future. It would make a perfect companion to the MP4/23. So here’s my finished model, proudly on display ! Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Thanks to all of you for those great comments. Can't wait for the Senna MP4/4 to get to the southern hemisphere. In the meantime I've got a 1/12 M23 to finish and a 1/20 Mp4/4 unstarted. Plenty to keep me busy. Malc.
