The partwork version is actually better than the current retail version which has a plastic prop

If you wanted a buy it now try this one on eBay 171540001795 At £150 buy me now with free postage it's not going to be there long. I have a complete set in my stash and can confirm it's a great kit. You have an option to cover in a red film but that would cover up so much detail. Hope this may be of interest Happy Modelling

I would swop the kit contained high gloss red solar film, for solar tex which gives a nice dulled appearance and fabric looking weave to it.

Mr T That is a very useful suggestion. Never thought about other materials but certainly what was originally supplied did not look good. Kind regards Happy Modelling

When I built my DR1 the prop provided was ready to fit and made from laminated wood and it does finish of the model nicely. There does seem to be more plastic and MDF creeping into the kits of today Still it does give us to opportunity to make our own parts The Camel Bi Plan I am making at present provides three cutouts made of ply which need to be glued and shaped. did not like the finish so made my own. using 4mm square lengths of wood, two different colours I made three lengths of laminated wood using those provided with the kit as a templates Some careful sanding and use of my dremel produced the attached. Took several attempts as the first one had the pitch the wrong way DDDOOOHHH GilShapley attached the following image(s): Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle
