Good evening im on with fitting the mizzen stay sail issue 100 page 10 have I got the sail in the right place it dosnt look right  cal attached the following image(s):

Hi Cal, Although I'm up to issue 106 I'm not putting sails on mine, however, looking at the instructions yours does seem to be correct. Provided you have the rings around the stay. If the angle of the sail seems out then moving the heart block can change the stay angle slightly. Basically, as long as you have used the smaller of the 2 sails supplied with issue 100 (the mizzen topmast staysail is larger) and your stay line is taught with the heart block tied close to the mainmast then it must be correct. If I had the sails on mine now I could be of further help. Perhaps when you tie down the C and D lines later you can make the adjustments? Let me know how it goes as I can possibly tack the sail onto mine to take a closer look how it goes  Steve

Hi Cal Stevie beat me to it! I'm comparing your photos with the diagram in my Alan McGowan Victory book and as far as I can see all your lines appear to be in the right place and at the correct angle too. I'm not sure why the sail isn't hanging vertically though. You can try to tweak the rigging as Stevie says but I think if you have any spare sail material you might need to cut a paper template using the rigging as the top edge and make a new sail with the correct vertical drop. That's something I'll have to watch out for when I get to my sails on the old DelPrado, it might pay to get all the rigging lines in place first and check the paper pattern against them before cutting out the shape! You may be right Robin, could be the sail shape itself. Cal, not meaning to mess up your diary but I just tacked the sail onto mine. You can see the bottom edge is not completely horizontal but lines C&D on the bottom corners would easily pull this into shape - Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Cal The shape is correct and Steve is spot on, I had the same predicament and lines C,D at the bottom corner, with a slight adjustment on the heart shape block brings it into line. Small tip, do not tie off until you are happy with shape and position. Happy building. Rgds, Hans

Many thanks for the advice ive moved the heart block but created another problem the line became very slack solved that by cutting the line at the mast and pulling it tight again not perfect but much better cal attached the following image(s):
