Thought I would post this one here.

This is a Metal Earth Millennium Falcon that I was given at Christmas.

It looks like a nice a little model with a fair amount of detail. These just go together with tabs and no glueing required.

A couple of work in progress shots, it a little fiddly in places but fun to do. You shouldnt need any glue with all pieces held together with little tabs, these are fold over or twiseted 90 degress using needle nose pliers. Its all pretty sturdy as the bits go on

Looking good Dave, not done one of these before but I'm told they are fun to do.

There appears to be an increase in fully etched kits the last few months, mostly aimed at a novelty market I guess but some serous detail offerings too.

Thanks for sharing something new, always nice to see

Thanks for the comments Jase, it is definately aimed at the novelty market but is really fun to build.

Things have been a bit hectic being the holidays, lots of travelling to visit various people and numerous parties.

A little progress made on this

Finished this off this evening.

Although this is more of a novelty item I really enjoyed building it.

I have one of these as well on my shelf. In all I've built 7 of these Metal Earth models and just picked up 4 more Star Wars ones this last weekend. Now that I'm a member here and have people who would be interested in my builds of those, I'll post as I start to build the next 4.

These are great fun, though my eyes don't always appreciate the strain. It can be hell on the nails too as you try and cinch down some of the tabs a bit tighter :)

Rather than use your nail, I used back end (the wide flat part) of a pair of tweezers or a flat head screwdriver to flatten them down Wink
