Hello everyone,

It's been many years since I last built any model. Back then I wasn't even dreaming about things like painting or otherwise finishing them... I was just happy to glue the parts together and call it a day.

About three months ago it changed. My girlfriend and I were doing preliminary Christmas shopping and I noticed a heavily discounted truck from Revell at some shop. I thought to myself... why not?

Now I have one badly built truck, and a lot of fresh knowledge about how to use glue, paints, files, airbrush, plus a lot of renewed enthusiasm for this long forgotten hobby of mine.

So, since then I started putting together a Jaguar E-Type, also from Revell in a beautiful and detailed 1/8 scale. While researching other 1/8 scale model I found the 007's Aston Martin DB5 from Eaglemoss (got almost all parts by now) that introduced me to part works.

Stumbling upon DeAgostini and Model Space was the next logical step. Now I'm subscribed to several models here... and my girlfriend is too, building the Millenium Falcon.

In the meantime - I built a portable workspace, spray booth, learned how to add leather upholstery to my Jaguar E-Type, what is Klear for, how to dry-brush, etc. I'm a newbie, but a dedicated one, and happy to learn new stuff.

I hope to make some friends here, share ideas, maybe create a build log or two. Hope you don't mind ;-) And please be gentle if my English is not up to par, I'm not a native speaker.

So... Hello :) Nice to meet you all!

That depends on whether my girlfriend wants her work posted, I'll ask :-)
As it's her first model ever, we don't plan on heavy modifications or altered finishing (said the guy that is making his 2nd model in years and for the first time is trying to change something in it). Maybe there will be some painting, she wants to try out my airbrush... BigGrin
