im coming to a point where I will have to start brushing with gold paint.
Has anyone found a Brushable paint the same colour as Tamiya TS-21 or will I have to decant it?
I have already tried to decant into the lid of the spraycan, but it dries up instantly. Has anyone got a really good method to get a nice healthy amount out please?

 Hi Rob I have been using Reeves metallics acrylic colour for my Santisima Trinidad build available from all good artist supply shops, although it may not be a match for the paint your using now. Andy  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Finding a pot paint to match a metallic aerosol won't be easy as even the Tamiya pot gold is way too yellow for a match and also its texture is not as smooth.
There are gold pastes sold in tubes such as "Daler-Rowney Goldfinger", which can be burnished to produce various tones, but again may not be an exact match.

Decant a quantity into the smallest pot you can find preferably with a lid, which when closed will keep the paint fluid for quite a while.

Push a drinking straw over the nozzle, and spray it into an empty paint pot. I save empty Tamiya paint pots for the purpose. You may have to swell the end of the straw with the tapered end of a pencil if it's a tad too small. It comes out surprisingly slowly. Leave the lid screwed on very loosely for a while as there is a lot of gas that will come out of the paint as it warms up.
