Hi Steve, Thousand yard stare? More like a mile and a half. A leather helmet and a pair of goggles should cut down the distance. Chop him up? Only if you can get him sitting in the drivers seat, with the above mentioned gear. All said though, a great build. Many thanks for the memories of one of my first car builds as a teenager. arpurchase wrote: He looks fine to me and your right about the size of the car as for the stare thats a defo 'And now he wants me to go racing in that death trap ' look of fear and trepidation. Andy, guess he does look terrified he can rest assured though that he's not going racing, he's a private collector Thanks fr the input Del, I think if he was sat down his height wouldnt be an issue but I sort of picture him standing next to the car "staring" at the engine Steve

Thanks for all the comments Have to get back into this one now and get it finished up, too many other kits I want to start Fitted the headlights and made a new grill for each instead of the clear plastic parts with the embossed grill pattern. Also fitted the small windscreens. All thats left now is the number plates, windscreen guard and rear cover brackets and that's it - so one more update. Was planning a simple base for this with the aforementioned figure but decided Im not going to use him now. Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Looking fantastic Steve, you've made a really good job of this one and I love all your extra scratch built items!!
I remember staring at a fully built example of this in the window of my local model shop when I was just a lad. It looked great then and it still does today!! Nice one sir!!

Thanks guys As far as I'm concerned this one is done, I do have to ad some wash to the bonnet sides and find some suitable cover strap material but this can all be done later. I will stick it in the finished build gallery as is - http://forum.model-space...ts&m=134732#134732. I kind of lost some interest in this when I realized there was a mudguard missing. Nevermind - On to the next one Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):
