Hi everyone

I know ive been a bit quiet on here but had no laptop for a while.
I decided to have a go at the spitfire and just received my 1st pack and the frames do not fit the sides of the fuselage not sure if they are the right parts or not. Seems like they are from different kits.

Sorry to hear that.

Can you post a pic of what you have received or possibly compare what you have with the parts pic in the official build to identify any differences?

Hi Paul

Can you provide a full picture of both parts please and also if possible some measurements of the edges where they are supposed to fit together so I can then confirm which part is incorrect. To me it looks like the side fuselage half but need to confirm.

Regards

hi Paul,
There are only two sections this shape so it must be section two(cockpit bulkhead)just wondering if you have tried that end.

Regards Trev.

Hi

I just measured the end tab on the fuselage side and its 40mm on one and 44mm on the other one, also the next tab along is also different sizes 40mm and 43mm so noe of the frames fit on both sides.

Hi Paul

You will need to request a replacement fuselage side as the part you have already started to assemble is incorrect.
It's not a problem we've come across before either.

Contact details here:

Hi Paul, Confused

Sorry to see you have a parts issues with your Spitfire.

Just measured my fuselage at the point shown in your pic below and the lug on the fuselage side measures 40 mm.

As Trev said earlier there are only two formers of this shape and having measured them both the front one is the smaller.

If you measure the front former and the fuselage side where indicated in the pic above it should tell you which part is at fault.

Hope this helps define your issue, so you can get it corrected asap.

In germany and austria we had multiple shipments with wrong fuselage side parts.

You will need to call for a replacement!
