Finished apart from some cleanup to the base and perhaps a plaque? Also need to clear coat the resin again as the "surf" is a bit matty. Lots of pics here, just using them all I wanted to get some shots in the sun but not to be at the moment Build diary here - http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=14058

OMG Steve, that is just fantastic mate and VERY realistic looking!!
That water is just perfect, love the sand, love the shadows under the palms, love all the plant debris on the beach, I love the way that the water darkens as it gets deeper and for me the best bit is when I noticed that there is a little wavelet just running over the end of the submerged wing - fantastic attention to detail mate and I take my hat off to you!!
Very well done indeed Steve.
P.S. - I keep waiting for a screeching parrot to come crashing out of those palms!!

Well what can I say!!! That has got to be one of the best dio's I have seen! You attention to detail is spot on, the waves and ripples in the water are as real as they get with out actually moving, the shadows in and on the water are exactly right and the troops on the sand are perfect. That is a show winner right there!! Superb work, only problem I can see is how you gonna top that?! Looking forward to your next build, Daran

Steve Was really looking to seeing the water added and got to say you have made a great job of the task. I really like the "tide mark" effect you have at the beaches edge that really is very well executed. Happy Modelling

Thanks so much for all the nice comments guys, means a lot This dio only came about because I had the old Zero kit lying around and I didnt think it would make a good stand alone display due to it being a bit dated, so decided to chop it up Cheers Steve
