Next update, I've had a very enjoyable weekend finishing off the upper hull planking. I'm really pleased with it so far and I have to say, the instructions are excellent for a first time builder. Well, that's up to and including issue 31 completed and I am now steeling myself to start the planking on the lower hull cruorangelussilicis attached the following image(s):

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Had a slight stall with this over Christmas and getting distracted with the Millennium Falcon!! Am back on track now and have finally framed all the gun ports and both entry ports. On to completing the hull planking! cruorangelussilicis attached the following image(s):

I didn't think I'd ever get there but finally the planing is done. It really has been a challenge for me but love the way the build guide and official build guide on here talks you through it. Am really pleased with the outcome. On to sanding!! cruorangelussilicis attached the following image(s):

Regards Alan Funny you should say that, I've just done a quick hour of sanding and even though the gun ports are looking nice and flush, it doesn't look much different! I think I'm going to have to get on the weight training to sand this beast, it's going to take a while. Thanks for looking Mike
