Only 22 points of contact hold Victory in her cradle, and the pressure is causing her decks to move closer to her keel, forcing the hull to bulge. The movement is also allowing rainwater to seep in the upper decks and rot planking in Victory, http://www.edp24.co.uk/n...pse_1_3906343?usurv=skip“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

I think this is the main reason the top masts are not going back up due to their weight. The work is all part of the £50 odd million they received in 2012 so she will not be good to visit complete for many years yet I believe a new drydock is in the planning too Steve

The BBC have just done a piece on this problem. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-30926084
I do hope that in 50 or so years our models wont be the only memory of the Victory remaining
