Hi All Just a quick update on progress, All the base interior detail is now added and a light coat of undercoat applied. As you can see it all fits like a dream and still loads to go in . You may notice some unfilled area's in the engine bay but the water tanks will cover this area so not a problem, also i have deliberately left the marks on the side armour as it matches the used and abused insides of the Polish Stug walkround. More soon. Regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Nice one Andy, isn't it nice when a kit fits together well? This is one to watch for me, looking forward to it. Steve

Very nice start to your build Andy and it all looks as though it fits like the proverbial glove?
Like Daran, I too have never built a Stug but I hope that one day I'll get around to it as it's such a cool looking AFV. Well done again mate and I'm certainly watching this with great interest.

Thanks everyone for looking in and your comments @ Steve its top resin that fits with the minimum of adjustment and I would recomend anything by CMK. @ Nem and Kev, The Stug has been for a long time one of my favorite AFV's starting out as an infantry support vehicle and going on to be a feared tank killer, the Stug at Kursk had the highest kill count for taking out T34's compared to other German AFV's and also it was in this tank that the Panzer Ace Michael Wittmann learned his craft on the eastern front. Relegated to the role of a bit player and never one of the glamorous AFV's like the Tiger or Panther it is only now that its importance in the conflict as an all round AFV is being recognized. Hi All Some more progress, all the basic fittings have been added to the hull and some etch has been added to the outer front and rear finally all was undercoated then a base coat of German red lead added. Once all is dry Il be adding a liberal amount of Vallejo chipping medium before starting on the first base coats inside. As you can see from the last couple of pics the engine and gearbox slip in quite neatly. I thought it was about time to start making up the Dio base i have chosen for this build, its from Modelart and consists of quite thick vac-formed plastic sections you need to prepare and stick together then paint. I think these Dio kits are a brilliant way to introduce people into the black art of Dio building/making and after doing one of these it should give the confidence to make another from scratch. The Modelart website give some very good tutorials on the construction and painting of these kits also and there all available for download. More soon. Nice work Andy, certainly looks like it's going together well and that's a nice dio base from ModelArt, they do a lot of really cool dio accessories from what I've seen?
Keep up the good work Andy, watching this one all the way?

Nice work so Far Andy, I am really liking the Dio base. I once saw a build where the guy built a wall from lots of little bricks that he had made, was quite impressive, think I would have gone down the pre-molded one like yours

Hi All Some more progress, The inner hull after the application of Oxid rot and Vallejo chipping medium has now had a few coats of Elfenbien after this was dry a mixture of Tamiya Smoke and burnt umber has been applied to dirty things up. The Engine was next to be painted up along with the radiators, cooling fans and hoses, fuse wire has been used to replicate the fan belts again all the parts were dirted up with smoke and umber. Next was the job of placing it all in position in the lower hull and everything went in with a small amount of adjustment but nothing serious. The upper hull is still being made up but I included it to show that everything fits inside without fowling the engine and radiators. The engine bay inspection hatches you may notice still need some fit adjustment but nothing serious. More soon.
