So here we are with the next "Whats in the Box" for the dio.BigGrin

The Leopold railway gun.

This is a massive box with 1140 parts!Blink Drool BigGrin Again it comes with a lenght of track, and all the parts in the same light grey plastic. Nice molding and very crisp with no flash or sink marks.

Usual booklet of instructions, very well printed and easy to follow.

I have gone with the Archer transfers as the kit ones are not accurate and also misspelled!!Confused Ally turned shells are also alot better then the kit items.BigGrin

And finally a superb turned metal barrel!!Love Drool BigGrin

There is a full crew to go with all this.

I have also ordered the PE set for the Leo, which is detailed walk ways and various other parts, plus I have found a full 4 man crew for the BR-52, result!!BigGrin BigGrin

Next up will be the gondola and the flak gun.BigGrin BigGrin

Hi, looking forward to seeing this one as I was intending the same thing a few years ago with either the Leopold or Karl morser and did start to build all 3 until we moved house and they got moth-balled. i would be interested to know were to get the Br-52 crew from as it was one item I hadn't sourced.

Hi Nem, BigGrin

There`s a lot of plastic to be getting on with there.

I`ve just cleaned my local shop out of plastic glue before you cause a national shortage. LOL LOL LOL

Good luck with this build/builds. Cool

Hi Nem BigGrin .
I had the Leopold a couple of years back, and it is a fantastic kit.
Do you plan on having the barrel elevating or not ? if so you may have to do a little tweaking on the barrel.
I say had as the shelf it was on decided to meet company with the wall Cursing Cursing Crying, But I will be getting another in the future BigGrin .
I very much am looking forward to your build.
At The moment I am building this https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/TU00209
I have the Edward etch set and the friul metal tracks which look superb.
I hope you don't mind me showing the pics.
Best regards.

Hi Mark and thanks for your comments and looking in. I would have turned the air blue if it had fallen!!Cursing LOL BigGrin I have a turned metal barrel so its a mod that you need ballast to counter balance the weight of it, should be fun!! No worries about your pics, I have the same Morser kit, again a dio subject with a loco and Opel truck, I also have the Morser on the battle field with a munitionschelpper, friuls and metal barrels and pe are a must!!!BigGrin BigGrin Will get round to building them one day! So many models to build, so many to buy, no time to do it in , bigger house to put them in!!LOL LOL LOL LOL BigGrin

Hi Nem BigGrin .
The reason I ask if you are using the elevation is in kit form the rear part of gun catches on the sides on the bottom and on can only elevate a little amount.
To over come this the rear metal bar that holds the gun assembly and elevation piston can be ground down by around 4mm, If my memory serves me well, To get the full elevation on the gun.
Will send you a pm.
Best regards.
Mark
