Andy Coming along very well. All that detail must need a steady hand to position correctly. Nice choice of base as well. Those miniart sets are very detailed and good value for money. Should all look a treat when complete. Happy Modelling

That is coming along very well indeed. Nice touch on the belts for the engine, little details like that can make all the difference. Do you get all the shells for the racks in the kit?

Hi Tony Thanks for looking in and your comments. The Modelart bases are very good for there price and highly detailed, once you get used to preparing Vac-forms there easy to put together, mind you there's as much work to do on the dio as the kit Regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi NeM The kits had no shells in them which was disappointing but i have found a polish supplier that has turned brass one's and sells them in packs of 12. The racks in the kits hold around 36 rounds but I think the full compliment was around the 70 round mark half AP and the rest HE. I have heard story's of crews placing rounds on the floors and standing on them so that they could carry more into battle. Thanks for looking in and your comments. Hi Steve I wont be using the rust set on this kit as its a very late production model and I dont think that much rust would have formed in a couple of months before the end of the war, lots of dirt and crap but little rust I think so im using AK's 30 ml pots for this kit. The chipping medium can have some weird effects even when your not trying for them like crazing and paint sliding off it when wet but all part of the experience. Thanks for looking in and your comments. Regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Regards Andy Yes Andy your spot on, it was 70 rounds, but I read somewhere of a full load of 96 shells if they filled the floor up, and it was a half and half compliment as standard, but that depends on what was available and how many they could actually get on the floor!!

Hi All Some progress on the stug, the drivers compartment now has all the resin interior added along with a small amount of etch [ apart from one valve handle the carpet gremlins got ]. I had a small issue with the drive shafts but apart from that all went in without a problem. More soon. Nice work so far Andy and looking good!!
Did you use a 1:35 scale shoe-horn to get that lot in place?

I always think its a shame to cover up all the interia detail espicaly the quality of your cramming in Andy loveing the build Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain
