hello
I've got issue 113 with the mast diagram and there seems to be a problem.
The hole for the foremast is 10mm dia.but
according to the diagram the foremast seems to be 6mm dia. and seeing as I haven't got a 10mm rod to go there( the two I've got go in the bowspirit and mainmast) I'm assuming the hole must be too big or is this rectified in a future issue?
regards jethroConfused

Hi Jethro, there isn't a problem here except the base of the mast is 8mm and even if the hole for the foremast is bigger than the mast itself, it all comes together and is rectified when you fit the foremast in position with the 3 rings attached below the lower collar, these centre the mast in the lower deck. The collar when in place will finish everything off nicely.. Third picture down in post 3061 on my diary page will show you what I mean... Cool Cool Just don't make the hole in the deck any bigger or the collar will be too small.... Cool Cool

I also need you to double check the diameter of the of the foremast as you say it seams to be 6mm... If that is what you have then there is something definitely wrong here. The diameter of the foremast and mizzen mast is 8mm at the base tapering down to 6mm as you go up the mast. The main mast is 10mm tapering to 8mm.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Alan
