Thanks for the nice comments guys A little more detail done on the deck, skid beams, hand rail and bits. Up to pack 15 now and have only skipped the guns (going to do all these in one go) the anchors, ships boat and the X-section which I am saving as a separate build at the end. Shes going to be upside down for a while now as this is a good stage to start the copper tiles on the hull The last pic shows the blue tape marking the coppering line top row. Steve Wow that is one stunning finish on that hull - looks fantastic and what a colourful ship. Looking at your close up pictures the quality of the parts you get with this one look top notch. When my SOS subscription ends I think this is the next one on my wish list. Happy Modelling

Great start to the tiling Stevie.. certainly powering on with it..... .. Do you intend to seal the tiles or let them tarnish over time.... This is an area I cannot make up my mind with as I love the look of both..... Regards Alan

Thanks Alan, really not decided yet, after you get your fingers on them they tarnish very quickly, you can see in the pics above some areas I cleaned for the pics and some bits missed - but a real difference in just a few days. I think I will have to do a final polish and clean all over when complete to get the finish even then decide Steve

Thanks Karl / Ian Just to show I'm still plodding on with this, here's another pic. Pushing myself to do 2 rows a night which is around 100 tiles. I will post a pic each week until it's all done and I can put it behind me and crack on with the build Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Nice Jobe Steve looks great. will you be adding a lacquer or letting the copper age naturally? Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain
