Bowsprit masts and caps Options

Hi every one ,
I'm at the stage of assembling the bowsprit at issue 113 and have hit a snag as follows:
The mast part 1b has been made to the dimensions 4mm at one end and 3mm at the top
As per the drawing supplied .
The parts 173 that is the caps that fit have a 4 mm hole which is way too big to assemble it
Has anyone else had this problem or have I done something wrong

Hi SG, don't think you have done anything wrong here as I found the same problem with this part and solved it by using slivers of Sapele strips in the cap hole to give me a snug fit.... Look at this page of my build and you will see I referred to the problem here...

Thanks Alan for your help
I'm gonna make some plugs and after glueing them in will re drill the holes , marvellous what a nights kip can do
